I understand only too well the anguish pet owners face when needing to leave their fur babies whilst they have a well earned holiday.

It’s indeed hard trying to find a petsitter that is trustworthy & reliable with a genuine ❤️ for pets. Back in 2000 when we owned 2 border collies the only options available for us was a dog boarding kennel there limited pet sitting companies around and we didn’t have family & friends that were able to take on 2 dogs to pet sit for us.

It always broke my heart leaving them in a dog kennel rather than a pet sitter looking after them in our home or theirs. They were without everything they were used too. 24hrs a day human love and companionship; cuddles & individual attention. Not being able to siesta on the bed or watch the dogs on TV reclining in the comfy sofa and hearing and familiar smells of a home environment. A large backyard to romp around in and bask in the sun. They also couldn’t take their bedding, or favourite toy nor could they take their own food. When we go away now our boy is looked after by a pet sitter and it gives us peace of mind leaving him knowing they love him ❤️

Alot has changed in the last 23yrs, there is a bounty of pet sitters in Melbourne but unfortunately most are young and inexperienced; work full time with long hours and socialise after work leaving your furbaby alone for the majority of the day.
